No telling what amount of blood, sweat, and tears it would take to get this one up to speed. When a seller says "rough condition," I believe it!

Either REALLY rough or "hot!"

Can you say "rats nest in wiring harness?"  ;)

With something like that, I'd buy it only for parts. -- and even then only if I actually NEED the parts that I know are good on it
Words like "it was running when I parked it" are red flags . Similarly, "it only needs a tuneup " give me pause when looking at a car with a misfire. Why? Because if it only needed a tuneup, most sellers would get it done just to make the vehicle easier to sell.

True that, Forbes!

Then again 300.00 dosent buy a whole hell of a lot of scooter parts.
If I had the room and a matching scoot I loved I'd buy the damn thing and stash it or strip it till I needed the parts.

That said its a 500 and I've never had much love for that scoot.

AMAC. I likely would too. Especially if I needed parts other than a working engine or fuel system.

For $300, it would give me something to do, now that the cooler weather will be coming in. I just love, tinkering with things[emoji16][emoji106]

It could either be a money pit or a diamond in the rough. If the wiring and the engine turn out to be good, it will be a good find in my opinion. And as long as money pit status is discovered SOON in the process, BEFORE sinking too much into it, it might indeed be a nice project.
