i'm looking to improve max speed with my roller weight but i think super 8 rollers are already quite heavy?
thanks in advance,

Not sure of the weight size can usualy come down 2 sizes and get better performance. My people 50 had 8.5g and went to 6.5g then settled on 7g.A call to a loc. shop could put you in the right direction

8.5 is the stock weight. you can go all the way down to 4.5 depending on the mods you do. 5.5-6gr. seem to work the best on a stock set up.

would 5.5-6gr reduce my top speed though?

The lighter the weight the more you lose on the top speed without more modifications. The manufacture has put heavier rollers in than needed to meet local standards in most cases. So the trick is to find that sweet spot You can usualy get gains at both ends.I would try the 6.0g or 6.5g.Others here have more expierence with your model than I do.Hope that helps
