I love it!
I'm never going to own the Italian classic....not to get those who do in a twist - but for a number of reasons.
But I like this scooter!
Classic smooth lines on the front, flanks, tail light area and gauges. Well done.
Hope the wheelbase is not smaller than the orig. LIKE. A little longer would be nice.

A darn sight better job than the new plastic Lambrettas, IMHO.
If it remains KYMCO reliable, easier to service and priced at 1/4th to 1/3rd the Italian - this should be a winner.

Well then guys, I will have to disagree with most of you. And taste obviously differs.
Imho this scooter is simply a shiftless uncomplete cheap knock off of the original italian Vespa Primavera 125. A cheap girlie scooter for (cheap?) girls from 16 to 25?
And whereever Kymco tried to find a different design line, they failed big time. E.g. the ugly headlight.... the flimsy mirrors....the exhaust...thinner tires...the poor looking rims...no or almost no glovebox...no trip-meter...no clock...no top case...no hazard light switch (a safety feature)...no cover-openings for the breakfluidreservoirs...
And how beautiful this scooter will look with the extra turning lights mounted underneath the handle bar for the american market...
Ahhh the seat finds some good resonance. Well, it´s quite thin, so let´s see how it really feels when in use by a real man...
But I agree. It´s a nice looking almost 100% replica of the italian one...
Obviously Kymco is heading towards the girlies market with it´s classic line.
Where will these red-china scooters be sold in the future? Out of a container on the parking lot of a hardware store with a manual in chinese language? For what price? 500$ or 2000$...
Kymco, I am very disappointed! I asume you can do that better. So give it a try!
Just copying the italians as cheap and as good as possible legally is not a real attainment!

I know very little about the Like but I would like to say that I very much appreciate posters who give an opposing viewpoint. It is a rare thing in this age of everyone striving not to be "offensive." Well done.

Looks like they have indeed made some progress in details and some really do make sense. But sadly enough I still don´t like the design.
Even in the other colors. And even if they put two gay mechanics on the scooter, I can´t get "warm" with it. :'(

I had to smile when I saw that they have taken a design art from our LIKE's.....the 3D gel Italian flag emblem!!:-):-) The team in Taiwan have seen pix of our scoots!

After watching the service/repair video I can't help but think those tabs will become brittle and brake off after a year or two. I say this as several tabs on my Like have broken off over the years. I think the tab/lock design is a bad idea.

I assume that some people like the design. That´s fine with me. Especially the girls might like it. If I had a teenage daughter, I would recommend it to her.
I think Kymco is taking the same road as many other manufacturers. The design must fit both genders as good as possible and that´s obviously the compromise outcome.
Even the choice of colors fits both genders more or less equally now. But their main target market seems to be the female one now.
Do not see much guys riding the Vespa Primavera overhere in Europe. But quiet a couple of girls.
The service video is nice indeed. But not sure, if it was originally intended to show the public via youtube. Probably more intended for the dealers.... but who knows. Nice idea anyway.
And I also had to smile when I saw that italian gel flag emblem. 8) ;D
I have no idea or clue who the designers are. But they obviously want a big piece of cake of the italian market....
I definately like most of the technical improvements, as the Handle for the rear foot pegs -> very cool idea! I also like that the battery moved into the back of the scooter with easy access.
Also an advantage is that the gas tank moved to the front underneath the foot floor. And that it can be filled from the left side glovebox. That helps a lot, if you travel with baggage on the seat.
What I dislike is the design of the headlight (mushroom design). Pretty ugly imho. Also I miss that the brakesfluid reservoirs aren´t reachable more easy. Could have been solved like Vespa.
And I am missing a Tripmeter and a Hazard Light Switch. And of course the missing handglove box in the front. I need that storage.
Obviously the also cancelled the 12V socket. OK, for sure not the end of the world, but I would like to have one. Mobile phones need al ot of battery power....or a GPS or.....
But for girls a rocksolid and reliable and easy to handle scooter for sure.

Actually Robo that makes sense about the Italian market and it does have that look that should appeal to the female market so it should do well there. Does seem a bit of a step backwards if there is no 12 volt charger. Wonder if they will have a matching top box available as well. Hate to admit it but the more I look at it the more I like it but to me the current model with the topbox, glovebox and charger is more appealing.
