Title: Upgraded scooter
Post by: GBBBiker on August 09, 2016, 06:50:13 PM
Today I traded my 2009 Kymco Grandvista 250cc for a 2011 Kymco Downtown 300i. Downtown only has 612 miles.

I've been looking at 7 yr old  P250S with 8 miles on it.
Repo-ed.
Guy barely got it home!
Whole lot  of bigger scooters with low miles on them....especially low $$ Kymcos.
Seems owners of the more exspensive scooters have a better idea of what they're getting into before they drop that kind of $$.

You're lucky in th US, it's a different market.
Here ins the UK it's not easy to find cheap barely used scooters.
Barely used have quite high price almost regardless of age. :(

It's all relative though isn't it? Your Kymco has a bigger resale value. The only way you'd score is if you managed to import a dirt cheap Scoot from the US and sell it for decent money in the UK when you're done with it. Taxes and shipping might sting a bit though.
