Title: what is the lifetime of a muffler

  I am coming on to 80,000 Km. on my downtown 2011,.  will it be good for over 100,000 Km,.  ??160,000 ???

You can't place a lifetime on the muffler.

Some last forever, others a few years. But when ever it starts to rattle, that is when the honey comb of the cat has crumbled and needs to be replaced.

With modern mufflers, the cat is embedded in the muffler itself, so there is no fix.
