Title: oil service indicator light2013
Post by: glaswurks on July 31, 2016, 02:41:51 AM
Dumb question of the day - on my 2013 Downtown 300 the " oil service"  light came on at exactly 9000 mi. Is this telling me I am low on oil or just a reminder that the 9000 mi service is due.If a service reminder, does it go away even if I perform the service myself?
Thanks for your help.

Tony

The light indicates it is time for the oil, etc service. The light will only go out when reset. Check page 18 of the owners manual for how to reset the light to not be lighted. Note that the instrument display must be in the Service mode where ODO, TRIP A or B are NOT showing.
