Title: GPS and TPMS combo
Post by: CROSSBOLT on July 28, 2016, 07:28:47 PM
Try this for home-made stuff! All I need now is a pair of psychedelic mudflaps and a CB antenna!

Theory is this mount won't allow the TPMS screen to be blanked by above light.

How accurate is the TPMS with the tyre pressure.  I have the previous model Garmin Etrex , use to used it a lot when I went camping.  They are a great little unit.

Reads right, the same value as hand-held unit. This thing is NOT necessary for normal riding. Just kinda neat!

The theory proved right today with a sunny ride for a "Honey-do"! Was always able to read the screen and see what it said. Front gained two psi and the rear gained 6 psi.

Amazing how a bit of temperature change will throw your correct tyre pressures out of the ball park.  :)
