Title: Kymco Downtown
Post by: mcdcfc3 on July 24, 2016, 09:16:37 PM: Can anyone help. My Kymco Downtown is displaying a red warning Oil Service light. It is not due for a service for another 1000 or so miles. I've looked in the handbook but I can't see how to make it go out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You have four (4) odometers on that DT: Total miles cannot bee reset; Trip A; Trip B and OIL CHANGE. Scroll through the sequence by holding the ADJust button for about 3 seconds. ODO, Trip A, Trip B and then NO words just numbers. That will be the oil change odometer. Reset it by holding both MODE and ADJ buttons for about 3 seconds. Both have to be pushed AT THE SAME TIME! The miles and tenths will go to zero and the red oil symbol will go out!

Post by: CROSSBOLT on July 25, 2016, 01:35:49 PM: Also, that oil odometer turns on the symbol at about 600 miles. I now use mine to show miles per tank of fuel. Sort of a cross-check with the fuel gauge. Gets rid of that oil light coming on every 62 miles! And that leaves two reset odometers for navigation!

Now that is quite interesting since my MyRoad apparently is the same but the owners manual is so terrible you wouldn't be able to get that from what they wrote.

I emailed Kymco Australia with a query and never received a reply either, bit disappointing.

I could swear that I saw a #10 on the display where the clock is. And no , it wasn't 10 o'clock. I haven't seen it since. Is that possible, or am I seeing things?

Post by: 2wheelfun on August 01, 2016, 10:40:20 PM: Yea my new to me 07 zooki 400 has a trip a, trip b anr regular odo. You can do all kinds of math with it and still solve all math equations. It's like trying to program an old vcr. Finally after pushing buttons I figured out how to 0 out the trip A so I can use it as a gas guage by mileage per tank.

Post by: scrollderf on August 02, 2016, 02:02:46 AM: To Pipster: That error code 10 randomly shows up on my DT. There is no error code 10. It always goes away upon start. I just ignore. This has been reported on several times in past posts and the best advice seems to be to ignore it.
