I have a 2010 GV 250 and I'm trying to purchase new tires for it. The front 120/70-12, and the rear 140/70-12. Due to the size I'm limited to what rubber i can put on. I tried the Metzeler's, and the Michelin City Grips, but the size prevented purchase. I was able to order the Michelin Power Pure...Comments?

Excellent twin compound tyres.
May not last quite as long as the CityGrip, but definitely a very good tyre.
There's a few other choices but depends what you can get locally.

Thanks gn2...its great to have back ups!

I am of the opinion power pure should last longer since the harder part is in the centre, where most of the heavy riding happens.
I ordered one, but it was on back order. I found a Kenda 434 and grabbed that since the need was urgent, even though it was the most expensive.
I will go for power pure SC in the future.

I tried to find who had twin-compound and on what model of tire/tyre. Even sent e-mails which were ignored asking the question. Sometimes I just give up short of goal. Anyone have a DEFINITE answer to who has the twin-compound and where the proof can be read?

The SC in the Power Pure tyre name denotes that it is the scooter version of the tyre.

I run city grips on the back wheel ,. and power pure on the front, as they don't make city grip 120/ 80 14 for my downtown seems to be a good match
