Rear tire hugger, stock on the LIKE, does a good job of keeping things relatively clean in the wet.
Much less wiping down after the ride....

Well, I don't wake up and say, "Great! It's raining now I can go riding!"
I wake up - and say, "Poop! It's raining - but you know....not so hard and I think it is lightening up over there towards the East ... Let's go!"
Get really bummed if no scooter at sunrise....
Why get up at 5:00AM, otherwise?

I understand indeed. Does remind me of one time riding home in 50* rain, the helmet was good, the jacket was good, but once that water ran off my helmet, down the jacket and soaked in the crotch of my pants I wasn't so happy anymore. Good thing it was a short ride. :o

Yes, been shopping for some Reverse Depends. The rain always goes right there..
Remember my post rain post?: ...coming in the door, "Bernice...I think my crotch is wet!!"

I ran this idea by my teen daughter. Told her I'd be on my scooter picking her up Tuesday in front of the school, since rain is in the forecast.
I heard her moving furniture in front of her bedroom door.
I like her sense of humor.

So Stig, is that the stock Kenda tyre on your Like at the moment. I have been wondering how sticky they were compared to other brands. I have ridden my Like a couple of times in light wet weather and felt no grip problems but don't want take any risk either. This is the wet weather gear I keep under the seat for when the rain really gets heavy.

I took the stock Kenda tires off at mile 400... a few weeks after buying my LIKE200i.
Had a set of Michelin City Grips put on....because I needed my scooter as primary work transport in all kinds of weather. Veteran Kymco riders here advised me to shed the Kendas if I was going to do much rain riding.
I was, so I did.
Some LIKE owners here have put a good many miles on their stock nylon Kendas - with no complaints.
I like my Michelins - have about 9,500 miles on them. I saw that the rears developed some scalloping maybe 6000 miles ago - but I was advised that this is normal for some tires, on some two-wheelers. Others seem to feel that the world will explode soon if scalloping is found on the tire.
I have ridden this mildly scalloped Michelin rear tire through all kinds of weather - including light snow - and have had 0 issues with it. I will replace it when tread bars appear - maybe with a two blend Michelin (hard center, soft sides) - or maybe with another City Grip.
The Kendas seem to last a very long time for some LIKE owners - as a hard nylon tire will likely do.
Oh, yes. The front Michelin City Grip on my scoot looks like it will last until the Rapture. Will have to replace because of age cracks before the tread ever wears out.
Your rain gear looks good - esp. the hi vis jacket!
I wear one of these. Occunomix. Amazingly warm in the winter - enabling me to ride well below freezing (with heated gloves) in comfort.
Liner comes out for light weight rain jacket. Either way, always worn over leather ICON armored jacket.

Local coffee rides on a hot dry day - I wear a hi vis mesh FIRSTGEAR jacket, FirstGear put lots of highly reflective 3M tape strips on it. Amazing stuff.

Wish that last photo was a bit clearer, would like have a better look at your helmet. Is that a cover? and if so would you have a link to where they are available.
