there are many places to get replacement piston for stock cylinder www.racingplanet.com (http://www.racingplanet.com) has some, I think www.scooterpartsco.com (http://www.scooterpartsco.com) has some and www.scooter-attack.com (http://www.scooter-attack.com) had some but not sure if they do anymore.

I THINK MY OILER QUIT AND STARTED UP AGAIN I WAS RUNNING STRAIGHT SYNTHETIC AND RUNNING HARD 42 TO 43 mph ON A 4 LANE WITH A 100 MILES TO GO. THE CYLINDER AND PISTON WERE SCORCHED I HAVE A TUNED EXHAUST A ZX  IT IS QUIETER THAN A TECHNIGAS AND SUPPOSEDLY AN 88 JET AIR SCREW ADJUSTABLE AND NEEDLE SHIMMED. A MECHANIC SAID THESE OIL PUMPS QUIT OR SOMETHING SIMILAR. IS THERE A PISTON THAT WILL WORK WITH A USED VISUALLY GOOD KYMCO 50CC CYLINDER.   I HAD AN ADJUSTABLE CLUTCH FAIL FIRST IT STARTED CATCHING AND RELEASING THAT STOPPED AND SOME TIME LATER THE BEARING FAILED IT WAS SUPPOSEDLY NEW WHEN INSTALLED  THE SCOOTER DID NOT HAVE THAT MUCH TIME ON IT.

Just curious. What were your symptoms?

I've had the same exact thing happen except I have a Naruku 50cc kit. It'll shut off at 45ish. Pull over start it run to 25-30 cut off then same at 15. My bike has 1100 miles roughly and heard the same about these pumps. Originally I had a Airsal Sport & I remember the mechanic showing my piston had burn marks too & he couldn't figure out why this happened after putting so little miles on after upgrade. Everytime this has happened I added a little bit of oil to the fuel tank & ended up making it home. Curious to what hear what you find out .
