Just viewed the 2017 Artic Cat Prowler 500 and it is a rebadged Kymco 450i. Appears to be same rear plastic, roll bars, engine, etc only the front plastic has changed a little to give it its own appearance. Kymco has been making their cvt engines and transmissions for many years and even their ATV's, but this new UTV is just to easy to recognize. It is being listed as a new 2017 model....check it out. Oh yea its 2k higher in price..

this is good news for aftermarket accessory availability

You got that right, with the popularity of these machines the aftermarket people will soon realize the money they are missing out on. As a toolmaker by trade I understand just how long it takes for tooling to get to production...so its coming. The other problem is Kymco is not furnishing a machine to the aftermarket companies like the big 4 do, so if they have to buy a machine that will hold them back even longer.

My family sells both KYMCO and ARCTIC CAT. To be completely honest the KYMCO has quite a few extra goodies. The seat on the cat is a lot harder, the cat doesn't come with a rear stabilizer bar like the Kymco, the cat doesnt come with a parking brake like the kymco. The kymco turf model has a single track rear end, and the arctic cat doesnt offer that. The roll bar ,dash, and front end is a bit different. and the cat is about $800 more. you pay for the name.
