This topic has been well addressed on this forum but here it is again for emphasis! Get the blue Loctite and put it on the muffler heat shields' bolts! Now! New DT300i bolts barely over finger tight. Holds even with the heat.

Gotta love that the blue loctite. Every service I check as many fastners as possible for loose.
-
If they are cross threaded no loctite required. One of the handle bar cover screws was on my new scoot.

I didn't know that the Blue LocTite would hold those muffler shields (because of the heat). Thanks.

Use red if blue won't hold it!

Use red if blue won't hold it!
If you absolutely never need to remove it, lol.

If it's gone, switch from blue to red.

Early on I bought a several pound box of hardware & hoses stripped from a LIKE200i.
Have used 1 or 2 so far.
Most of the fasteners on my scoot have been so blasted tight I had to buy the correct tool to remove them!

Anything with 2 wheels is gonna have loose bolts after miles n miles of fun, capiche?

OK new 2 wheel machines. It's been a problem ever since mini bikes were sold in the 60's. Especially lower at end price points.
