Someone tell me... is it possible to install a small tachometer onto the Agility 125? Its a 2007. Would it wire through the CDI or be like a cable similar to the speedometer?
-
I believe Shaka just put one on his ZX50, I don't think he had to cut any wires, just wrapped the pickup wire around the spark plug lead. I think he started a thread on it in the Tech./How to section.

Yep, I used the Trail Tech TTO. It's a great little tach! The company is also GREAT to deal with! You just wrap the wire around the spark plug wire anywhere between the coil and spark plug and secure it with electrical tape. Then you can either double stick tape it or bolt it to the dash. It takes about 10 min to install it! It was about $35.

...wow...it's that simple??

Wow...great link! That's pretty cool!! Just curious...has anyone tried one of their digital speedometer/odometers? A little more pricey at $79 & $99...just wondering if they would be more accurate and possibly in miles rather than kilometers?
-
...shaka hasn't been around her in a while, rianna...
..but i do know that he successfully runs that tach, and uses the readings to tune his zx...
..i'd say itsa keeper...
;D
..dunno about the speedos or odos...
-
Thanks, wordslinger. I did actually see another thread he commented in (around here somewhere) with a less expensive speedo.
-
I'm liking the look of that tach. Seems like it would be helpful.
Have to figure out where to mount it.

I see Shaka is over at scootdawg. ;)

Have to figure out where to mount it.
In the other thread on here (somewhere) there is a picture of how someone mounted theirs, oswaldters.
Maybe he coming this way next, sid.

I see where I'd like to mount it - but I couldn't bolt it in and the peel-n-stick idea worries me.
I don't know that it would hold up to my riding in lots of rain and in freezing temps.
Then again, those peel and stick led lights seem to stay on securely.

Yeah, if it's expensive, I'm not sure I'd trust the sticky stuff. :-\

..i like sticky stuff....

I think it's probably worth a shot. That 3M vhb is supposed to be some tough stuff that can stand up to water and cold weather.
