I use the parking brake on the Burgman a lot.....comes in very handy when parking on any incline. I do not want the scoot to roll down hill and fold the side stand up and drop the bike!
I apply the parking brake every time I get off the scooter.
My Kymco LIKE200i does not have a parking brake.....
So, I use one of the thick , colored, rubber bands found on a bunch of Asparagus -- around the grip and front brake lever. The bands on Broccoli work well, too. :)
I store this emergency/parking brake on the right turn signal pod - so it is always handy when i stop.
Also, it might deter a really dumb thief !!

Nice grin on that Kymco.

Great idea!

thats weird that you don't have one cuz my Like 50 has a parking brake thing on the right rear brake lever
-
EDIT: The 50's have a drum brake at the rear.....that is why you have a parking brake. The LIKE200i has disc brakes both ends. Can't do that with hydraulic disc brakes without adding a little drum back there!
Well, look at that!
Will look into fitting one to my 200i!

Thanks for the heads up.
always enjoy Kymco's spelling!

You could add a line lock, common in the off road crowd.

I use a velcro strap

Here's something else I ran across. Looks like a locking brake lever. They list other models.

Pretty cool!
Wonder why Suzuki and gang put all that stuff on their bikes just to achieve what that lever is doing?
An emergency brake??!!
