Title: heat sheild washers

  the little heat shield over the exhaust pipe, rattiles, take a washer from the heat shield of the muffler,. or order from the dealer,  they are fiber washers ,. and should stop any rattiles,.

Got some fibre washers from hardware store.
If they flame up on the road. ...I will do what the French do along every country road in France.  Pull over and pee on  them....and pretend families passing in their 2CV's can't see me. Very French thing to do. Freaks out tourists.
Was walking along the Champs in Paris one day....lady and small daughter, both in designer dresses. ..suddenly stop and girl pees on sidewalk.  As an American teenager ...figured I'd better not try that....again. :)

Probably not just the French who do this...I bet there's a few rednecks here in Idaho who wouldn't think a thing about peeing on their bikes.  :-[

I take it regular good quality stainlless steel lock/split washers won do ?

I don't Really know....specs are for these heat proof washers in the assembly.
