Title: Where does your xc500 temp gauge point
Post by: xsel777 on April 13, 2016, 11:28:37 AM
I just got my scoot back, after the cam was replaced, and I took it for  a run in 30km up the road to a town there, where I cruised around for  a bit, when I noticed the temp gauge was higher than where it normally is, at the top of the notch in the middle.
Now it moved another 2mm higher.
I turned off the engine, and I could hear the fan, but that is as far as I can go, as the battery is flat now.
I am waiting for my wife to bring me another battery, (50km drive and someone is not happy!)

Mine is a 2009 with 7,000 miles. Temp never quite touches the middle.

JUST below the half way point.

Now that I have my scooter back after the stator was replaced, the temp is wavering/fluctuating on the middle mark, with just a smidgen of the the middle mark visible on the lower/colder side of the gauge.
After several hours driving, it did not change from that general position, so it seems all is good.
