Title: The First Spring Ride
Post by: TPococke on May 23, 2010, 03:48:58 PM
My wife and I took our first mountain ride of the Spring to Lake Isabel in the San Isabel National Forest, Colorado. She rode her Yamaha FJR1300 and I was on my Kymco 500R. The Kymco had no problems with the mountain roads. GREAT RIDE!!

You must be feeling good. I'm in Florida and have ridden all winter. Still, 2-3 days without riding for one reason or another makes me cranky.

Nice looking bikes. I had wanted a black x500, was going to settle for a white one, and then the dealer gave me a "can't refuse" deal on a red one. The color is growing on me :-)

DUDE, your wife is so badass.  That is some power between her legs there... that yamaha.   HAha.  Your bike's cool too.

I better not let my wife read your comment Shubonker. She might get a bigger head. Then her helmet wouldn't fit.

Rich71, we do ride our bikes year round in town. It does get a little chilly at 10 degrees. But we manage as long as there is no snow in the forecast.
I actually got my white Xciting because the dealer gave me a deal I couldn't refuse. I would have liked a red one. But the white is growing on me.

LOL!   ;)

I like the white better to be honest.  Red is a little too fast for me.
