Title: I put 700miles in 10 days on my New xciting!

I am over the first scheduled maintenance (600 mile), so what kind of OIL has been decided here as the best to go with???

Also how much do yall pay for oil filters?

I believe a fully synthetic oil is what most here have decided is best.  Choose a weight based on what the temperatures will be like when you're riding.  I chose 5w/40 Rotella full synthetic which I think will be fine for summer or winter here in Georgia, USA.  Found it at Wal-Mart.

I just got a two pack of "Hi flow" filters from Scootertrap for $22 bucks delivered.

Then again, now that I think of it, you may be advised not to go to synthetic till more break-in time has gone by.  Let some others check in on this topic, please..

You may want to wait till the next oil change to go full synth.  Possibly run a synth blend now.  Get some more input, there are lots of different philosophies on break in!

Depends if you have babied it or really broke it in. If you tend to baby it you may want to wait till 1'000km. If you smashed it into submission, go for the synth.
