Title: Help!
Post by: scootdog on May 28, 2008, 07:36:18 PM
I changed the oil, changed the tranny oil, cleaned the pan gasket....can't seem to find the oil filter.....maybe only on the 500? (Kymco Xciting) and can't find the air filter, and can't locate the spark plug...doesn't show where it is in the handbook. Does anyone know where these things are located on the 250?? Pleaseeeeeeeeee help..... Thank you very much...Larry

I don't think that it has a filter. Only a screen. Air filter and sparkplug are accessed on the left-hand side of the scooter. The airfilter sits under the rear sidepanel if I remember correctly. You shouldn't have to remove any bodywork to access.

There isnt  a  filter..The  screen is   is  in  the center  of  the  oil pan..Drain  plug is on  side stand  side  of  oil pan.. Perhaps  reading the  owners  manuel  would  answer  your  questions...

Tony, thanks for your info. I was able to find the air cleaner right away, and the spark plug also. Once you have an idea where to look, you find fast! Thanks again for your help.....Scootdog

No problem Scootdawg! At first appearance it looks like it is going to be hard to access but it really isn't too bad.

Else where in this forum under general discussion ,page 2 -I seen a web site you can download a PDF file for a parts manual (130+pages) and a repair/maintenance manual (200+ pages) for free. Just be sure to have lots of time on your hands and new printer ink cartridges-and lots of paper, it takes quite some time. If you still have questions repy to this post and I will look it up. Hope this helps.
