Title: Where to buy aftermarket parts?
Post by: ajnolte18 on May 04, 2010, 12:37:28 AM
Hello new to the forum and atv world. Not new to the offroad scene as i have a twister hammerhead gt150. I purchased me a new mongoose 300 last week and have been looking around on the internet and cant seem to find many aftermarket parts. I have seen the hmf exhaust system but is there anything any cheaper. Like a universal slip on that will work? I also looked at the KN air filters which look nice but if i do that and exhaust it will require carb work correct? and i havent been able to find any jet kits or are these universal? Also where can i find some decent nerf bars for it? and has anyone ever tried these wheel spacers? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/5-Kymco-ATV-WHEEL-SPACERS-Mongoose-90-300-R-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem27af8e0f60QQitemZ170449047392QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/5-Kymco-ATV-WHEEL-SPACERS-Mongoose-90-300-R-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem27af8e0f60QQitemZ170449047392QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories) Thanks for looking.

http://www.dratv.com/ (http://www.dratv.com/)   has mainly honda, but there are loads of crossover parts for your Quad. I stay away from those type of spacers, as they put ALL the load on the studs, and not on the axles where it belongs. The solid plate type work perfectly. You can measure the center to center spacing of the studs, and start looking that way vs. by brand. Kymco is not that big in Quad circles so you will need to be resourceful , and cross brand shop. Keep posting, as there are a few other Quad riders here that may be able to supply some solid leads. Try the search feature on the top right of the page too Keyword what you are looking for, and read thru as many as you can take. Some better sources may have been posted. Welcome aboard ajnolte

Kymco and PGO use a lot of the same engines in their Scooters. The parts are interchangeable with the CVT internals.

So the Kymco Xciting 300 uses the exact same engine and trans as the Mongoose/Maxxer.

The ATVs have a totally different final drive, so don't expect that overgear set to work :)
