Title: Built in FRS/GMRS radio project
Post by: Travis on May 25, 2008, 09:52:57 AM
Here are my plans for a built in FRS/GMRS radio.  I am looking for input and I plan to update this project with lots of pictures and instructions for anyone else who might consider a project like this.  This is just the beginning of my modifications I have planned to make this bike just a little bit more enjoyable.

This is a mockup of my project goal.  The headset connection is going to be on the handle bars on the rear facing the driver.

Does anyone have any comments, ideas or suggestions??

The radio I plan to use is a Motorola fv200aa

Again I'm open to any suggestions

Cool project!  Maybe have the controls closer to the Left hand?  This way if you are adjusting on the road your hand does not stray to far from the grip.

Is there a radio with bluetooth support?  It would be nice to have the option of going wireless.
