Are they going to put up a forum on the Yager GT 200i?

I hope so! Just got one last week. Traded in my wonderful Agility 50 on a GT 200i which is really a 175 NOT a 200 but what the heck! It romps and is nowhere seated in.
C'mon, moderator! Let's have a slot for the Yager!

I would try through your dealer that's where I got mine, It took two weeks to get though, when you order the filter order 3 or 4 if you can swing it (they ran me $19 each). The box has 2 numbers on it, the first is Part# 1541A-KKC3-900 and the second is Model# SH30DB. ;)
FYI - getting parts for the Yager is a big pain in the arse. >:(

Got some informatiion: HighFloFiltro HF562 $3.80-$4.00 each. Fits a coupla other Kymco models.

Here is positive confirmation on the Hiflo HF562: This is an EXACT replacement for the Kymco number. Changed my oil today and had original and replacement side-by-side. The HF 562 has more pleats in the filter material which means more filter area. The by-pass valve and the internal construction looked identical. I will report any drawbacks when encountered but I expect none.
Second note: Kymco apparently does NOT support its dealers in any manner and that is why parts are such an issue. I, therefore, will NOT purchase another Kymco unless they get their heads outta their arses in the meantime.

That is absolutely NOT the case in the U.S., I can tell you from experience. KymcoUSA is quite responsive to (at least one of) its dealers, here. Maybe it's not to all dealers, but it is to MY dealer, at least.
Case-in-point: I had a complaint about my scooter last year, and wrote an open letter the the president of KymcoUSA about it on my little-known blog (that is, btw, highly-ranked on Google searches for "Kymco blog"). The next morning, my dealer had a voicemail from KymcoUSA, wanting to know how they could help resolve the issue.
In the intervening time, I have worked part-time for this dealer (doing the web site for the shop, and managing the store, occasionally). Parts ordering is a breeze -- it's all done online, and easy as can be, and parts show up two business days later in nearly all cases. And, they've been happy to put a technician on the phone, to assist in troubleshooting and giving tips to our mechanics on approaching a tricky repair, or clarifying steps that aren't fully-outlined in the service manuals. The other two (Taiwanese) lines the shop carries do not go this far in providing dealer support.
Just my two cents.

I'm glad to hear you got outstanding service. I myself am still waiting to hear back from Kymco regarding the issue I have with my headlight de-lamination issue, still waiting for a service manual for my Yager (It's going on 2 Months), it took 3 weeks to get 2 oil filters and topcase mounting bracket etc, etc, etc. It shouldn't take 3 week to get something as simple as an oil filter.
Can you share your contact over at Kymco because they aren't very responsive to my dealer.

Well, it could be that, or it could be that the dealer isn't being particularly responsive to you. From a distance, that's impossible to judge, of course.
It's pretty common practice for low-volume dealers to try to consolidate parts orders so as to spread out the shipping costs amongst several customers, where practical. However, the timelines you describe are not tolerable.
I'll look into getting you a service manual, if you like. I have to find out where I hid IE, since the KymcoUSA parts order system requires it, but I'll be in touch. Check your PM, here.

I have to say.... My dealer is pretty awesome too! I have not had my new xc in yet, but when I called about the downed digital dash on my grandvisita, they took it in the same day. Three days later they had it fixed! Also though expensive.... they do maintance at the appointment I asked for and do it while you wait! ^_^ OHHHH and when I took a spill on my scoot and needed mirror and grab bar for it they had the parts in a week.

Believe it or not, KymcoUSA probably asked them if they could keep the trailer there for some unspecified time. That's what they did with my dealer, and it stayed there for like six months. It was good brand advertising, but it took up a lot of parking spaces. :)

Griffon, I checked your link: Great website for Cleveland Scooters! Great looking building and they even have Royal Enfield traditional sho' nuff MOTORCYCLES right outta the forties and fifties! Sent 'em an e-mail about filters. I will let y'all know what they said...

Shipping was 7 bucks. I just got done doing an oil, oil filter, air filter, spark plug change and a valve adjustment.

I got my Yager 200i 2 weeks ago, moved up from a Chinese 150 that would keep developing electrical issues. So far so good, I'm enjoying the ride a lot.

I just bought a Yager 200i 3 days ago. So far I absolutely love it! I have just over 125 miles on it already and looking forward to racking up a few more. What company again do you order your filters from? I'd like to do as much of the maintenance myself as I can.

I got my oil filters from DenisKirk.com. Model - HIFLOFILTRO, Part# HF562 and cost about $3.70 a piece. I would order 6 at a clip because the shipping was 7 and change and I ordered 2. If you go Kymco you will be paying 20 bucks a piece and can only get them through a Kymco dealer online or locally. Words of advice, follow the users manual using their oil change intervals and if you don't have one get a torque wrench so you can re-install the bolts to the manufacturers specs.
Glad to hear you're enjoying your new ride, it's a great machine and wont let you down if you pay attention to her. ;)

I got my Yager about 2 weeks ago and am loving it. I moved up from a Chinese 150 and what a difference. I've got about 200 miles on it and am starting a mileage check. Since I'm still breaking it in I've only touched 70 so far. This is what a city scoot should be.

That is not in the owners manual, it is in the service manual which didn't come with your Yager. Difficult, it all depends if you're mechanically inclined and have worked with engines before.

Hi, InfernoST.
Just got my Yager GT 200i two days ago. Haven't ridden it yet, because I'm recovering from foot surgery (walked so much at work that I broke off the sesamoid bone under the big toe joint, had to have it removed), but I want to do as much maintenance as possible on it.
I gained experience fixing scooters on a cruddy Tank Urban Racer 150 DE, which despite having many, MANY problems (mirror mount fatigued and fell off, rear brake disc was warped from the factory, brakes squeaked even when not applied, it chewed through belts even though driven gently, wouldn't even kick start if the battery was even a bit low (and the alarm drained the battery in about 12 hours), lights burned out quickly, blinkers only worked intermittently, front fork downtube had a bad weld and moved when front brakes were applied, it came from the factory with no bolt holding the bottom of the motor to the frame, etc., etc., etc.), I was able to coax almost 10,000 miles out of it before the engine developed electrical problems and I'd had enough.
So, can you forward me the link to buy the service manual for the Yager GT 200I? Thank you.
Anybody want to buy a gently used 2007 Tank Urban Racer 150 DE? Eh, I didn't think so...

Sounds like you have a "Tank Shaped" anchor.
Based on your story about the scoot, I have wondered how many people bought new/better scoots after owning a china-scoot? I know one gal locally that finally gave up on her china-scoot and bought a new SYM scoot. She was tired of hauling it in the back of pick-ups and getting stranded on the side of the road.

The 'final straw' in my case was when I was tooling along a 4-lane street (speed limit 45 mph, but everyone does 55-60), in the left hand lane. The ONLY good thing about that scooter is that it was only a 150cc, but it'd do 60 mph pretty easily.
The engine faltered, then picked back up again, then just died outright. Everything went dead, actually. No brake light, no emergency blinkers, no headlight, no nothing. (Strangely, after it'd cooled down a bit, it started right back up like nothing had happened.)
So, I'm stuck in the leftmost lane, next to the median, and have to figure out a way to get through all those lanes of fast traffic pushing a scooter, to get to the sidewalk. Great fun. Good thing I was only about a mile from home. I once had to push the damned thing 7 miles!
