Title: a serious question
Post by: kymconewguyontheblock on March 27, 2010, 08:36:47 PM
Im really confused right now and I want to know a couple things I want to know if a destricted agility is faster then a destricted genuine buddy or vis versa I want to buy the faster of the two scooters they are both the same price so money does matter can someone just be honest I want to pick the best scooter.

I have a derestricted buddy 50 that will do an indicated 50 mph downhill . I also have a derestricted people 50 that is faster . If the agility you are looking at is a 4 stroke you are not going to touch a 2 stroke . Good luck .

The 2 stroke one will always be quicker as it fires every stroke not every other stroke., but it wont feel as strong as the the 4 stroke.

The 4 stroke agility will be more reliable in the long run, will do more than double the gas mileage and not need to be filled with 2 stroke oil all the time.

Its all about personal choice, but the 2 stroke will always be a bit faster.

It depends but the 2 stroke will be about 5 to 10 mph faster in my opinion.

I think 44 mph was about all I ever got out of my ZX50 (2-stroke) when it was stock/de-restricted.

To clear up your confusion let's go back to your original question . The derestricted buddy 50 will be be 5 to 10 mph faster at top speed than the derestricted agility 50 , and it will reach top speed much quicker . Now if you want to be confused consider this . The derestricted Kymco people 50 (msrp $1999.99 ) is faster than both aforementioned scooters .

The people 50 might be faster but it looks like a girls bike.. ;D

I assure you my solid black people 50 does not look like a "girl" bike as it is blowing by 50cc 4 strokes .

There is much more to life expectancy of the engine than just the speed or revs. Maintenance, do you drive the engine on short or long distances, cooling, oil...

For example, I have read the study showing that damage incurred while starting the engine is equal to damage done in 80 kms of highway driving.

Remember that the next time you start any vehicle you have...
