I thought my bike was getting shocking fuel consumption and realised after doing 30km and going through a whole tank, that my tank had a hole :'( It around the weld where the fuel tap comes off. Just wondering what product would be best to seal this back up as there seems to be a real problem. I can't have it leaking everytime i go out, with no fuel to go home and with prices here in the UK at £1.20 a litre its costing as much as my land rover to run.
Also while your here. Just wondering how I should paint my exhaust. I've wire brushed it soooo many times and painted it with high temp paint but the rust never fails to get beneath the surface and come through as soon as we have a damp day. Particularly the downpipe goes through paint like I'm currently going through fuel :)

..check at your local auto parts store..there are several fuel tank patch applications out there...
..have you tried a high-temp primer base before painting?
..may be a little bit pricey, but it would save you some headache..
..i keep my exhaust painted, and I also ride in the rain...doesn't seem like i'm having to paint very often though..
..i don't prime, but I do use Rust-o-luem industrial enamel spray paint...

I thought the A125's fuel tank was plastic...?

Fuel tank sorted now I think, boshed a little bit of JB Weld 4 minute on the joint and it seems to have done the job :)
When I had my 50 I never had to paint the exhaust and I rode that in the snow and some of the saltiest roads ever. 125 however is a different storey, paint all the time or rust to pieces. It's already had a new exhaust when I got it and it was only 2 years old. I assume for the same reason.
I've not tried a high temp under coat, no, so I might give this a go when funds enter my wallet :)
Fuel tank is metal btw, wish it could be expanded a little :)
