Title: variators and rollers..... HELP!!
Post by: dreflu on March 10, 2010, 04:19:59 PM
I've been searching on this site and i see alot of you are using 4 to 4.5 rollers. is that the best weight to use? the racing kits i'm finding have 8.5 and 9 gram rollers. what is best?

Do you have a copy of the service manual yet?  It should give the specs.  Check under the service manual thread.

Stock rollers should be 8.5.With a pipe stock air 6.5 works well.after mods I'm running 7.0 any thing heavier without clutch tuning was no good for me might be able to go 7.5 with the next spring up running the white set now.I'm a little over 200lbs.Hope that helps.

My pipe came with the 6.5s it was a good match till I kitted. That 3/8 hole in the air box and a #85 should put you at 50+mph.don't like the hole thats what duct tape is for Ha!Be sure to put it before the air filter.
