Post by: 400racer on December 06, 2007, 01:44:31 AM: Hey guys, I should be getting a MXU500 saturday. Is there anything I should know about this machine? How reliable are they? I will have pics asap.

Post by: MXU500_Red on December 06, 2007, 01:21:47 PM: My '07 MXU500 has been a good one. I have made a few changes to it like added ITP wheels/tires, added a winch and aftermarket pipe. Also removed two roller weights from the CVT.

The 500 has good mid and high range power....it really wakes up after you break it in (400- 500 miles) . The clutch mod has really impoved the low end.

He (my son) is real good...I need to get him into racing. I am getting him a Mongoose300 maybe the first of the year. He can't decide if he wants to race go-karts or 4 wheelers. I can't afford both hobbies :P

You were on a Can-Am against my Kymco 500, not good. I hope you are doing some serious training down there in the warm weather. I am like Rocky training up here, running through the snow with logs acrossed my shoulders. Remember, I'm comin' and Hell's comin' with me!!!!!!

What??? :D Oh I know I was slower but you should know that you can ride a 500 faster than an 800. :-\ You should also know that for 5 months of racing versus your several years of racing I can hold my own and I am going to be the 2008 lites champion. :o

LOL. I am comin' this year Robey. Last year you only had 3 other guys to worry about and now you have me to worry about. There is a local race down here on January 12th that you should come too and see what go's down and who really brings it. ;D
