Hi i'm looking to buy my first scooter in the next month and decide on the agility 50 and I just wanted to know if Im under 150 pounds if the scooter will go faster or doesn't that matter, and how much does cutting the cdi add speed wise.
-
Your weight wont' help out w/ top end, but cutting the cdi will give around 10mph. on the top. It's the best free thing you can do to improve your scoot.
-
thanks i will forsue be cutting the cdi when I do that I cut right though the plastic right? and what else get me more speed that is easy to do?

Cvt tuning is pretty straight foward if you have some basic tools/ skills. Lighter rollers/sliders will get you up to speed quicker, and clutch springs will help get it to the ground If you spent 20-40 bucks you could have a much quicker scoot. Wordslinger likes the 4.5 gram rollers. Shaka has had great luck w/ dr.Pulley sliders. Malossi makes spring kits for your clutch that run around 10 bucks. Believe it or not TIRES make a huge differance in the overall performance of your scoot. I have had the oem Chen-shin, Top of the line Kenda's, and now Avon Viper stryke. The Avons rule. 100 bucks will get those. If you want to get into pipes/carbs/filters, I would suggest doing all of them together to avoid re-tuning for each part.

thanks that should help a lot im still nervous to cut the cdi

Worst case, you just end up having to buy a de-restricted one. ;)
-
how much is de-restricted cdi and where can I buy one
-
Not sure off hand. Just do a little looking around online.
-
can some would post some pics on the cdi of the agility 09 to see how to de restrict it

Gy-6 has them for around 130 bucks. http://gy6-performance.fr/cdi-kymco-agility-race-p-496.html (http://gy6-performance.fr/cdi-kymco-agility-race-p-496.html) Suitai has them for around 50 bucks. http://www.motorcycle-components.com/rootfiles/cdi.html (http://www.motorcycle-components.com/rootfiles/cdi.html) Or search the forum for cdi de-restrict for free. You need to know the wiring before we could say which method will work for you
