I guess the US scooter market does not have the audience to support the new scoots? What's the deal? Are they coming?

Beats me why Kymco does some of the things it does.
May be that Kymco Global (Taiwan) wants to capitalize on its strength in Europe and go for number 1 in that market before releasing to K-USA. Could be that K-USA wants to wait til its got all the inventory and parts before releasing anything. Could be none of the above.
One thing for certain is the timing couldn't be better to promote new scoots now when economic stimulus checks are coming. Nothing like the good ol' USA where the government stim money may amount to 33% of an Agility City 125 (assuming $600 check and MSRP $1799).
Hmmm. If a new Agility City 125 can save me $150/month in gas X 8 mo.'s = $1,200 + $600 govt. orgasm bucks = almost free scoot? Naw. Musta been another Olddood daydream.

I think sometimes "importers" have thier hands tied in ways they wish they could change. Not saying that is the case, I have no visibility to it.
No doubt k-usa is smarter business people than I am and they have to balance assortment with making money. Maybe it's an EPA thing?
If enough people yell for one of these models maybe we will see it sooner.

Has anyone heard when the 2009 models are supposed to be at the dealers? With supply so tight, will Kymco ship anymore 2008s to the good old USA or will we have to wait for the 09s?
