...got my new rear tire...finally...
...love me some viper strykes......
-
On these small scoots, they are night, and day difference
-
Very cool! ;)
-
Isn't it NICE. Please don';t get hurt proving it!
-
...i never woulda believed the difference between the Kenda ( which is still in good shape..plenty of tread) and the Avon...
..feels like a completely different scoot...

My personal opinion is that there is a big difference between old and new tire, regardless of the type.
Old tires typically are worn out and have a flat spot. When you put ANY new tire, there is a big difference.
I throw away tires much before they are worn out because they become square, while there is still 50 % of usable thread left.
On big bikes, this difference can be felt even more. When I had Kawasaki, the touring tire would last 15.000+ kms but I would change it every 10.000 because it would not go into curves... it tended to go straight.
-
...that's it!!...leaning into the curves seems effortlesss...and these Avons just stick so well ...

..I agree that any new tire would feel much better than one with 10,000 miles...
..but when i put the kenda on he rear, new...it didn't have this same feel...
..then i installed an avon on the front...
..well that felt good, if not unstable a bit...good forward grip, but not so much in the rear..
..this matching set is the way to go...
