alsoo .. i asked 3 places about cutting the cdi they all said they dnt want to cut it :(

It is a VERY easy job swapping the multivar parts out. Just lay it all out in the order it comes apart, watch a few Utube examples, and get a manual on line. 2 hours is fair for a first timer. I can swap mine out in about 1/2 hr.

Ermmm, ill give that a try in a second, but the CDI, whats the chance in me doing it wrong?

Yeah, I know what you mean about not wanting to cut your CDI, when I got my scoot I was reluctant to cut mine.  I was debating on getting an unrestricted CDI, but figured why spend the money on it when if i screw up the cut Ill be buying one anyway.  It isnt hard to do I used a hacksaw you can use a knife as well just go slow and blow the dust off as you cut.  Wordslingers pic is dead on.  You will figure it out and im sure you'll be back asking more questions.  This forum is very helpful and you are talking to people who have been through what your going through with your doubts as well!
