pleasee need help on how to change it ... electric start not working proplyy THANKS ???
-
...umm...sounds like a problem..or maybe two...
..you say the electric starter isn't working?
..at all or does it drag?
-
it works when the engine is heated up :/
-
...mine did that for a while...then it quit altogether...it's probably the brushes in the starter motor...i just haven't pulled it off the scoot to check...i've been kick-starting mine for nearly a year...
-
Ermm any idea's one what i shud doo ?? dnt want it too break on mee :/
-
...can you start it with the kick-starter??
..if not, then i'd suggest making that happen first...just so you will have a way of starting your scoot if the starter motor does kick the bucket...those mechanisms tend to sieze up after a while..gotta pull the cvt cover and swab a little bit of grease on the inner components of the kickstart...

my scooter starts first kick every time .. byut wud much rather save my electric start :/
-
If it starts just fine with the kick start, your problem has nothing to do with your carb! It is probably the starter is getting tired, I would leave the carb alone! The starter also has a tendency to be weak when it is cold, this would explain why it works after the scoot is warm. Electricity doesn't like to flow through cold circuits! Best bet is to have the battery tested, if that's good it's gotta be the starter.

Are you any good with a Voltmeter? We can walk you through some simple trouble shooting to see exactly where the trouble is. could be the switch/ starter motor/ relay/ wiring/ or Bendix. It is MUCH easier with a meter to find

...it's probably the brushes in the starter motor...it may be possible to just pop open the casing and blow out the dust...or if the brushes are too worn, they can be replaced for probably less than 20 bucks....
..dang...kinda got me wanting to look into mine again...just to know...
