anybody know if they are available yet??
-
I use a KN-147 oil filter on mine. Fits perfect and that hex nut on the end is very handy. I believe this is the recommended oil filter for the 500's.

If you are referring to Air filters there are many that can be adapted, using your stock snorkel or grommet to set one up.
-
Hey zombie explain in more detail please
-
I really su%k at posting Picts. But I can explain the idea. Somewhere on your Air Intake system there are rubber "grommets", and assorted pieces that can be adapted to standard size air filters. You can purchase a 14.99 filter ELEMENT or the 79.00 "SYSTEM". Take your air box completely apart, and look for the filter that will "adapt" to your parts. That will give you the tuning "BUG". Next stop Multivar....."All AABBOOOOORRRDDD".

No I really dont think it will since this is already a pretty fast scooter and I really have no where to open it up at

I have a big problem with going slow I have a 50 cc yamaha I have pushed to its limits just to go 50 mph this one runs fine as it is for now maybe
-
Is your Yama. A Jog? I just got one for donor parts.
-
A C3 up for sale or trade too

I was looking for a K&N to just replace the stock one as in many other applications - I am not really in the mood to modify the the air intake system(lazy) I thought by now K&N would have made one for the exciting :P
-
Ok, I get it now. Sorry I don't have a link for one. Look around though. I am more than sure there is a filt. that will bolt on for you. Try Surf Canyon as your search engine, and I promise it will help you get to one quicker. When you do find one, post the link for the next guy. There are loads of 500's looking to go fast!

tx bro - surfing now!! ;D

I took the stock filter and cut the inner filter part, the paper cardboard corrugated stuff, cut that out and replace with UniFoam that I purchased from Kymco dealer in San Antonio. UniFoam is stuff that motocross racers use. It's inexpensive, works great, and perhaps the scoot breathes a bit easier. Not sure about that.
A piece of UniFoam large enough to make several filter inserts is about $7.00.
I'm on K&N's email list to notify as soon as they make a filter for Xciting 500. My baby likes to breathe.

Breathing is good! I have seen a few different set-ups running unifoam. It is a great idea to keep stock looks w/ better breathing.

got a mail from K&N - says they are working on it and that the oil filter is available - same as the T-Max
