Hi guys from Glasgow UK
Just bought me one of these Venox from England and having it delivered tomorrow so im on the edge waiting for her to come.
Looks a cracking bike and cant wait to get her on the road.
My problem is theres no Venox forum in the Uk and even harder its going to be to get parts.
So im here to say hello and want to know the dos and dont for riding these dream bikes.

Still waiting for it to be delivered --damn traffic on the way up from London is delaying it and now been told it will be the early hours of the morning-(sleepless night!!!!!!!!)
Not quite sure how to post pics, can you help ?
Think ill be looking for footboards and sissybar engine protectors and slashcut exhaust,
can you reccomend any sites that i could ship over from

Just in case you aren't aware of it what looks like the engine on a Venox is really just a plastic cover to make it look more like a Harley-Davidson. :o

I'm sorry if the truth offends you. Many people do not realize that what appears to be the engine on a Venox is not. I was fooled until I saw it mentioned in a magazine article.

The TRUTH is not at all offensive, its just the wording.
The engine is the engine... the fax fins are just an add on to the engine, put on for the EU market. Just like the HONDA MAGNA 250 was which is the bike this is based on.
Though its not just in pics as I have had many a HD rider ask if the venox was a 750cc + engine and could not tell the fins were a add on. I even had a guy follow me last summer to ask what size SAS engine was in 'OBnoXious' venox. Some have even asked if it was a new type of V-ROD !
Sorry just get a little ticked off when I see none owners voicing unqualified opinions about bikes they do not and have never owned. At least you did not call it Chinese Crap !

Hi Bill,
Glad to see another Venox rider. It's a great bike. Gets the economy of a scooter and is a very good looking Motorcycle. It makes about 30hp which is pretty good for an 250 engine.

The faux fins are made of metal and there is really metal (aluminum) cylinders with huge jackets behind them. The bike also has 4 metal valves per cylinder in the aluminum metal head. I think that the cam, crank and rods are made of hardened steel. I think that the timing chain guides are made of a hard plastic though.
Personally, I don't care for the faux fins and would rather have the bare cylinder but I really don't think the bike looks much like a Harley except maybe a v-rod.

I'm sorry, I know your 'old' but this was a pretty dumb comment and I'm not even a Venox rider. What do you mean 'what appears to be the engine on a Venox is not'? Faux fins regardless, of course the engine is the ENGINE!! How do you think it moves, pedal power!?
I hate the whole 'trying to look like a Harley' thing, too. Why is that? Are Harley the only company allowed to build cruisers?
Besides, a friend of mine bought a brand new Harley Softail in January. Quite apart from the fact that it was ridiculously over-priced, it's been back to the garage for repairs 4 times in less than 5 months. He's had numerous electrical problems, the speedometer has been replaced twice, it's had over-heating problems, loss of power when hot, and the choke had to be replaced after a month. All in all, I think it's only been on the road about one month out of five!! He's none too happy at the moment!
I have to say, if the Venox ever comes to Japan, it will definitely be my next bike. I love what ObxBiker has done to his Venox, amazing job! If we don't get the Venox over here I'll probably go for the Magna 250 that the Venox was based on. But there are a few little things that I prefer about the Venox...I'll keep my fingers crossed...

But I do see now that nothing HARSH was intended.
here is the bike during the build with out the fax fins, during most of the build we were going to leave them off but then decided to paint and add chrome edging.

My current ride is a stock '01 Vino 50. I came here because I was hoping for info on my next ride, a 250 Grand Vista (Dink).

Not a lot, so I'm assuming that no news is good news. The GV folks aren't posting because their having to much fun riding and not having a lot of problems.

Not been on for a while as iv'e been busy working and been on holiday to Morroco (dont go)
Well the bike has been behaving and I'm still lovin it, although i got the urge for more power some days it tells me that'll do for know especially with the volume of traffic here all the time.
Never mind the Harleys the Venox although a 250 mid range is enough for Todays travelling if you want to live.
Harley is just a fashion status as far as i'm concerned (marketting item)
Venox is value for money for a nice mid range cruiser with appearance.
My prob is getting parts when i will need them , if anyone can help it would be appreciated.
Hope yer 4th July celebs went well
Maybe going over to NJ NYC In August to see the cuzins, depends on workload

I think that their 700 Myroad will. Of course I haven't heard anything about the Myroad in a while.
The Kymco 250 singles are much like the Honda Reflex motor. Stone reliable design. I think that 4 stainless steel valves would be a fine update though.

Glad to hear your still liking the bike. To me the bike has just enough power. Just enough to have a good time but not enough to get in serious trouble.
Why does a cruiser need to go over 85 anyway?
