Title: Probable stripped spark plug on Kymco People 150

Today when I was riding home from work, my Kymco People 150 spark plug came out of its hole. My wife came and bought the couple of tools I needed and I put the plug back in and limped home. The plug does not feel as if is in solidly. I am afraid to tighten it further right now because if it is stripped, as I suspect it is, it will be completely useless. Has anyone else had a stripped spark plug socket on a GY6 150 and what did you do to correct it?
