Title: Brand new 2014 Like200i LX - Check Engine Light Code 24

I just got a new 2014 Like 200i LX (less than 30 miles).  After just a couple of rides, the engine light is flashing--code 24 which appears to be an 'O2 sensor heater circuit malfunction.'  Does the O2 sensor simply need to be replaced?  Anything else that could be causing this?  Is this common?

I would just take it back to the dealer, but it is a gift that came from an out of town dealer.  I'll probably need to find a local dealer to take it to anyway.

 I have not experienced this issue, nor have I read about it.  You might do a search in this forum to see if the problem has come up. Maybe trace the sensor cable back to its source to make certain both ends are  connected.

Do a reset before you start throwing parts at the problem.

Find the local,and introduce yourself. Explain how you acquired the sxoot and ask for help under the warrenty. If it's a dealer of any quality they should have no issues with looking at the bike.

They should see you as a future customer to upgrade at some point.

Thanks all.  I did a reset to no avail; I am going to take it to the local dealer.  I appreciate the help/input.

Yep - visit your local dealer. You have a fully transferable 2yr warranty from the date it was first put on the road by whomever.

Oxygen sensor is $100 - but that's a moot point - your's is under warranty.(are these things generic? Will an Autozone, or Denso,  O2 Sensor work?)

Check the connector.....follow wire up from the sensor in the exhaust pipe....a black clip/connector.
(If you had to buy one, but you won't - - I'd look to get numbers off of the sensor and google it!

DO visit your local Kymco dealer....one way or another, you may run into a warranty issue down the next 2 years.
Let us know how this turns out for you - first time we've had an oxygen sensor go out on a LIKE200i 'round here.

I finally got it to the dealer.  They swapped out the O2 sensor, and everything seems to be running smoothly.  Thanks again.
