The new top box I just fitted - looks good I think.
I was able to mount it a little further back, making more room for the passenger.
This model comes with a backrest, but I think I will MacGyver that , just like I did with the backrest you see in the pic.

I previously had a kappa 35.
This shad sh45 is wider, and with the bonus that the mounting plate is wider too, which is better for stability.
I had to mcguyver the new plate to fit,
quite successfully too, as you can't tell by looking at it with the top box mounted.

The led strips in place.
I blew the flasher unit because I started off with the premise that green/yellow was earth. Wrong!
It is brake +
Green is earth.
The one strip below the plate, held in place by the mounting plate securing fittings.
Another strip with double sided tape mounted onto edge of plate.

The final effect with leds on.
The shorter strip has 3 broken leds.
I have ordered a better led cluster for that position and another 2 flashers.

OH yeah, I forgot to show you the flasher unit and led strip I mcguyvered to fit.
Nasty, I know, but it was not going to be seen unless crawling under the top box mounting plate... 😊

I dumped the home job with the 3 non-illuminating leds, and fitted a nicer more professional looking led strip in a nice mounting that should survive the sun, since it is mounted under the top case mounting plate.
I should really check to see if it is waterproof.
