My Kymco has a license plate 280 x 200 mm (EU standard for bigger motorcycles) and it fits.

I AM IN THE UNITED STATE AND BECAUSE YOU GAVE YOUR DIMENTIONS IN MM YOU MUST BE OUTSIDE OF THE STATES. MAYBE YOU HAVE A DIFFERENT BRACKET SETUP.

They issue smaller "motorcycle" license plates here in the US, at least smaller than the ones issued for cars.  I'm sure of the exact dimensions, but I know they fit on the mounts for my scooter.

Obark, you may not have the plate bracket on your scoot, just the "mud" flap.

THEY HAVE HOLES FOR MOUNTING THE PLATE BUT THE HOLES ARE JUST TO NARROW IN LENTH FOR THE U.S LICENCE PLATE FOR THE SUPER 9.
??? WHO IN THE U.S HAVE THE 2003 SUPER 9 ????----I WILL TAKE PICTURE SO YOU GUYS CAN SEE.

The size of plates for motorcycles may vary by state...  In Kentucky they seem to fit ok.

Kymco has, as do I, these adapator plates for that issues.  Personally they are not worth the $7bucks they charge me (dealer) and I don't have the heart to add 20% to them and sell them.  All the new models corrected that issue.  But there is a solution to that problem.

My new Kymco Agility 125 also came with tag mounting holes too close together for the MS tag. The Agility 50 still on the dealer floor also had the same problem. The dealer modified a piece to fit temporarily and I ordered a bracket from eBay. Will see if it works better. The bigger Kymco scooters have the appropriate license plate bracket. Crazy but I'm sure the dealers will help you get your tag mounted one way or another.

You just need some metal and tools and some imagination to convert or fabricate an adaptor...

Obark: Why spelling in caps? Sounds like you're yelling. Never understood why some people do that. Please let us know where you live & what model you have? I needed a license plate frame for my 2006 Kymco People S200. The part # is 2002 Didn't need one for my Super 8 or my GTi300. Go on Kymco USA website to find it.

I ordered this one off eBay for $1.00 plus $2.07 shipping. Will update if it works well.

Update. This is a nice plastic bracket but the holes do not line up with the Kymco Agility 50 nor 125 so I will be keeping my metal strip for the time being. However if you don't have a way to mount your tag this could be used if modified and being a plastic piece modifications are very easy.

I had the same problem with my People 150 licence plate holder - way too small for an Idaho plate. Had to get a piece of flat metal and drill 2 sets of holes, one set to attach the metal to the holder, and another set for the licence plate itself. Took about 20 minutes, but problem solved.

Minnesota plates fit on the DT just fine without the adapter

Today I went by the dealer and he called Kymco about the license plate bracket.  Normally the part costs $6.95 but he is getting them for free under Kymco warranty program. So I will have one next week for free.

Picked up the official Kymco US license tag adapter today. It is obviously a universal design flat heavy steel plate. It doe not allow enough room for washers and nuts between the rear fender and plate so special fasteners must be found. I returned this $6.95 part even though the dealer did not charge me for it. Don't bother with this part.
