I've had good luck with the G-Max helmets. It has the rear light in it that can be synced to your brake light, or solid, or flashing modes. Really helpful for the early morning commute in the dark. Also has the slide down sun visor, which I will always have in any future helmet I buy. This model also has an optional chin piece that I snap on during the cold months to keep the weather off my face. Very adaptable to all different weather conditions.

I have both a HJC full face and a BILT modular but I would love to have a GMAX modular with the built in rear LED

Here in Vegas I have purchased my gear from Cycle Gear. I personally like the 3/4 helmets with the face shield on them. I have tried a few full face helmets and I did not feel comfortable with them. Those helmets felt too cluastophobic for me. If they have a Cycle Gear where you live I suggest you check out what they have. I have been very satisfied with them.

After years of wearing full face helmets I have switched to modulars.  Currently I have Fulmer modular with a slide down sun visor and then my newest helmet is a Sedici modular helmet also with sun visor.  Why did I pick these brands?  Because they fit me and most of the other brands I tried didn't.

Nolan n44 modular. Its a full face and you can detach the front to convert it to a 3/4. Visor is removable with ease. Has the sunglases built in.

Almost every rider i know plans or did buy this same helmet. So far 4 ppl after and 2 more soon.

I bought the ncomm and its awsome!

Built qlty is amazing. Top brand. Confortable. Quiet. Nice looking.

Basically it fits my needs

I am using the Icon Airmada Salient helmet from the past 1 year and it is amazing! It has a fully removable interior, anti-fog visor and visor locking system and the design is excellent. The best part is I got the helmet over here (http://www.clandesmotards.net/8-casque-moto) at a super cheap price of € 247.95.

the best helmet is the one that fits your head properly, an ill fitting helmet does not provide maximum protection and may even be detrimental to your safety

not everyone has the same head shape,  what is good for one is not necessarily good for another

I suggest going to a motorcycle shop that stocks a lot of helmets AND  has sales staff that knows how to fit a helmet and start trying them on

What he said!
Buying lids without trying on is a crap shoot.

I’ll add to the accolades for the full face Gmax helmet. I have one as well with the built in sun visor and rear LED light. It’s a great and protective comfort in the winter, and adjustable in the summer. If you pick a dark color I would suggest putting reflective tape on it as well.

I have owned HJC, which is an excellent helmet for the money. I switched over to Scorpion. I LOVE their half-helmet with the pull down smoke visor. I have the older EXO 200 & now it's replacement the EVO C-110. Can be found for around $90.00 online.
