Title: UXV500i shifter stuck in park
Post by: gdharley on December 13, 2015, 03:23:34 AM
Took delivery of a new 9Demo) UXV500i yesterday.
After unloading I put the transmission in Park, but now I can't get it out of Park.
Is there any way I can manually release the linkage so I can roll it onto a trailer and get it back to the dealer?
Thanks.

Sometimes the gear shift on my 450i is hard to move our of park or other gears, try harder

Try having a second person rock it back and forth for you!

Thanks for the hints everyone.
I pulled the center console and found the linkage had jammed.
Easy fix and seems to be good now.

Sounds like an intelligent fix, Harley.
