I am browsing through my papers and here is what I have installed on my gf's A125:
OEM part code 23100-KEC4-900, has length of 781 mm and width 20 mm. - incorrect info from various sites, read on the thread!
-
Great, I bought belt from online ebay shop and they sent me 737x18 mm (for Kymco Dink 50).
I will try to arrange for a replacement, but what would happen if I install 5 cm shorter belt?
Does the verb "snap" come into action?
-
Its going to overheat cover and melt away, maybe snap...dont try it...i did with 740 kevlar--broke my variator..
at first wheel will turn without pulling gas lever...
then cover and ventilvar will overheat rollers who may just get stuck in upgear...
bad, bad mamma jamma...
781 regular or 800 kevlar...
peace.

That sounds painful to see. :-\

im still crying...
I guess your wallet is crying.
Today I returned it back.
Of course, they sent the wrong air filter too. Great.
Two out of four wrong. Pads and shoes are, oh, miracle, correct.
p.s. A125 and P250S have the same brake pads! (left disc on P250S, that is to say, the right one is mirror version).

no cash problem,
but that was in april...so i was without bike a lot of time...

I came across a site that states the Kymco 125 drive belt is 788 x 17. The manual states:
Kymco Agility 125 Scooter Repair Manual (http://www.scribd.com/doc/36192742/Kymco-Agility-125-Scooter-Repair-Manual#)
Width check - Standard limit 17.5(mm), Service Limit 16.5(mm),
Yet below on the next page or so it states replace belt when 19mm or below. Looks like they copied the manual from the GY6150 which uses 842 or 830x20x30. I wish they would correct their manual.
My Ruckus/Zoomer uses a 795 x 18 belt. I'm thinking of trying that. I have a Kevlar one that was about $40, but they sell Gates belts for zoomer/ruckus for $15-20. The stock belt doesn't last long for top end. It wears quick and doesn't ride as high on the variator when worn. It would be nice to use a 308 or 310. The Kymco Movie 125 uses a 308x20, which would probably work awesome when using a 120mm variator like NCY-gold, Dr Pulley, or Prodigy. Most GY6150s use 842x20 instead of 830x20 when using a larger face 120mm variator. Don't know of a Distributor that sells a 308.

Now I feel a bit tired of Kymco's bs. I do not know if you read that, but I have few days ago installed 781x20 mm belt and it snapped.
Kymco claims that its 23100-KEC4-9000 is 781x20x30x9.5 mm.
I wonder now is it because I bought 781x20 mm belt instead of God_knows_which_one_is_correct.
Now I see this manual where it seems it is 17 mm and who knows what the correct length is...
I am sick of Kymco's bs, monopoly situation in spare parts, I am slightly sick of nuts and bolts costing 20 US$ per piece, substandard quality of casting, rusty parts and general lack of quality, support, correct information in their own manuals that is preferably not in Chinglish or anything else...
Maybe I will cool off until tomorrow.
WTF THEN IS THE CORRECT BELT SIZE FOR A125?!?!?!?
AAAAAAAAA!!!!!! ??? ::) :o >:(
-
this is wright part: 23100-KEC4-9000 is 781x20x30x9.5
But sometimes people make mistake and buy 743x20x30 which is kymco belt too, but not for agility....
i have dayco 800x20 part 8172k and its OK...

No need to cool off. I can pick up spare bolts from the Honda fiche and order them up. The thread patterns are similar.
I plan on getting a 120mm variator and want a larger belt so it has the length to ride all the way at the edge of it. I want to pop 75 downhill :-) A short case gy6 long blocks are 300 bucks online delivered. Boom, done. 150cc, 180cc kits of kick ass-ness. Cams, polished and ported heads.... blah blah. Custom header pipes. Cheap hobbie when still compared to Japan, or a Motorcycle from Japan. Geez, look at a Harley, I could have 10 scooters for 1 Harley Road King.... lol.
I wrench on my Ruckus all the time, so time to tweak the Kymco. NCY variator/clutch kit coming soon. I need a belt that rolls all the way up.
Do ya think 810 or 815 would be too long? Is an 800mm big enough I'm sure if you keep between 18-20mm width, yer good. I'm gonna throw in a Kevlar Kitaco Zoomer/Ruckus belt. Don't know the exact size, thinkin 790'ish x 19 width. I'll give it a try. I should have the kit soon and will post results. The belt size doesn't compensate for the lack of speedo calibration. 60 = 54-55. 50 = 46-47 / GPS speed. Figure you need to hit 75mph indicated to achieve 65. Doesn't do well either that the odometer is putting on more miles than you ride. See, I can bitch too... haha!
All is all the Agility still kicks ass! It rocks!
-
Ok, the Zoomer Ruck belts are not as deep, they will just slip and burn...
Gonna try and get a 821x20x30, and see how that works.
Here's a link to a buddy site running shortcase GY6 125... they talk about belt sizes too.
http://www.modernbuddy.com/forum/topic12128.html (http://www.modernbuddy.com/forum/topic12128.html)

So, the belt size is somewhere between 0 and 1 meter.

46 US$, Dayco.
In their catalogue, belt for A125 and Movie 125 is - 800x20 mm!
So, I bought it this evening.
Now I am waiting for pulley blocker to arrive from China, and then I will try to replace the friggin belt again.

how the story ends axy?
:o
Didn't end yet. I am going to Turkey on a vacation and will be back in a week. Then, I plan to take a day off and try again to change both belts on P250S and A125. I will report my findings, don't worry...
-
;D
-
Any luck with the belt?
-
Axy???
-
never back from turkey....
-
I installed the Malossi 795x19.8 belt. Works well.
821x20x30 was too big.
-
anyone tried 808x20?
-
I was back from Turkey AND THEN went to Milan for the last eight days. Just came in the house this second!
Obviously, had no time to change it.
I will report when I do.
What do you mean, does it fit? IT HAS TO FIT. I would not stand two duds in a row.
p.s. I will have to go to Azerbaijan any time soon. I am not kidding.
You do not want to know...
-
are you some kind of (drug) dealer? :o
-
Yeah, I deal drugs, so that's why I drive so reputable brands like Kymco and Kia. ;D ;D
I have promised an update, so here it is. Today after work I first disassembled Agility's vario cover, it is really 5 minutes of work. Then I found out that the tool does not fit the holes on the face plate, so I had to use the Dremel tool and sand paper attachment to make the pins narrower. It took me almost one hour to shed off metal and make the tool fit the holes.
(http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/6381/img0062y.jpg) (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/851/img0062y.jpg/)
After that, it took another 5 minutes to replace the belt and further 5 minutes to assemble vario cover back.
(http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/7487/img0069g.jpg) (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/849/img0069g.jpg/)

On one of the pictures you will see that Kymco's OEM belt, code 23100-KEC4-900 (original brand Bando) is in fact 800x20 and not 781x20 mm as claimed on different sites.
You will also see that new Dayco belt is the same as OEM Bando.
(http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/4854/img0066on.jpg) (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/215/img0066on.jpg/)
I will remind everybody that 781x200 mm SNAPPED in my gf's scoot 7 kms after replacement.
The scoot has 24.500 kms, the belt has been on the scoot for the past 12.000 kms and it was still good. It had width between 20.1 and 20.5 mm. I bet it had good and safe 4.000 kms in it, so I think that Agility's good quality belt can be replaced every 15-16.000 kms. This was an overkill.
I hope I will not see insides of Agility's vario for the next 12.000 kms (even though rollers will probably wear out before that).
This belt replacement was quite expensive:
- 781x20 mm belt that snapped: 15 EUR and 3 weeks of waiting
- pulley blocking tool: 20 EUR and 3 weeks of waiting
- 800x20 mm Dayco belt: 30 EUR
- my personal time, effort and nerves: PRICELESS!
Now I have to repeat the same with my People and I am already nervous because of stupid bolt placement, you have to be a contortionist to remove them, everything is in the way: Tupperware, frame parts... Also, I do not know if blocker tool will fit the holes because the plate is bigger and I am not sure the tool can be sufficiently stretched.
I did not do a single meter with the scoot after replacing the belt, so I hope it will NOT SNAP AGAIN!!!! :o :( >:(

800x20 , or whatever Dayco declares as 800x20 will work FOR SURE.
p.s. At least I hope so, as I said, I did not drive the scoot after replacing the belt, but it is the same as the one the happily spent last 12.000 kms inside...
p.p.s. Completed 10 km test drive of both scoots, everything is as smooth as it should be.
-
Have Dayco and it lasts.....
Malossi belt 6113148
Dayco belt 8172K
Both kevlar....

The same story today repeated with P250S: http://www.kymcoforum.com/index.php?topic=554.msg46131#msg46131 (http://www.kymcoforum.com/index.php?topic=554.msg46131#msg46131)

what tools do you need besides the obvious ratchet and socket to replace the belt on an agility 125.
-
Ive got over 16,000 on mine and havnt replaced it. I had it checked at 12,000 by a dealership. Im thinking of replacing it though. Im sure i need to adjust my valves.
-
I put a MALLOSI KEVLAR BELT size 795x19.8x30 on my bike and it is perfect.
-
Hey where do you get the dayco belts. I know Bthmtech told me where to get the kevlar malossi belt but i dont think they took pay pal and i need to use my pp account. So my oem lasted almost 17,000 k and im still using it but i nd one i think. Is the dayco number listed a 800x20 or 795x19.8. You guys have posted some great info.

I have an 2007 Agility 125, I got my kevlar belt from provoscooter.com here is the link to the belts page
http://www.provoscooter.com/scooters/kymco/kymco-agility-125-4t/malossi-x-kevlar-belt.html (http://www.provoscooter.com/scooters/kymco/kymco-agility-125-4t/malossi-x-kevlar-belt.html)
provo has very good customer service. I bought the Ruima exhaust on there and it doesnt fit because the exhaust ports are different on the kymco gy6 motors (I found out later), They emailed me a return shipping label so I dont have to pay return shipping. Any way the kevlar belt is a Malossi, they are a Italian brand that has high quality racing parts. the belt is $49.00 size 795x19.8x30, it's working good on my agility 125, provo's forum is pretty good too.
