thus anyone knows how to change the headlight bulb of Super 8? ???
-
It is kind of a pain in the but to do. The front shroud has to come off. there are 6 Phillips head screws on the driver side of the fairing. A little wiggling will remove the shroud. You will then see the screws that mount the lenses.
-
Forgot to mention 2 more near the "air scoops" on the outside of the fairing

thanks for the info! i am newbie this is my 1st scooter, do you have any pictures? ???

If you go to http://www.stadiumyamaha.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/default.aspx (http://www.stadiumyamaha.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/default.aspx) They have an exploded parts diagram that you can use, or hunt around for the service manual on line. I lost the link I had for manuals, but will try to help find 1 for you. Stadium yamaha is also where I would get the bulbs if you don't have a source

My bad, here is the owner manual from the same site. It may show what you need. A Little digging and you can find the servive manual. Kymco Super 8 Owner's Manual (http://www.scribd.com/doc/9811692/Kymco-Super-8-Owners-Manual#key4ctkt2shesoqu5hw89w)
-

thanks! i have a manual too but it does not have any instruction on how to remove or replace the headlight bulb? because i am planning to change it w/ blue bulb, thanks again!
-
...yeah, you need the SERVICE MANUAL, as opposed to a drivers manual...
..They are way different, and sometimes the service manuals can be hard to locate...
-
Do you see this or am I crazy. I can't get a Pict. to post but somehow the entire manual is posted... I'll try again to put the link Kymco Super 8 Owner's Manual (http://www.scribd.com/doc/9811692/Kymco-Super-8-Owners-Manual#key4ctkt2shesoqu5hw89w)
..dang...how'd you do that??

I'll give it a shot with surf canyon. I will never quit riding 50cc scoots. They are just too much fun. My first 1 was a 64-65 vespa when I was 14. Wish I had that 1 today. I bent the front end on a curb racing my buddies hodaka ace 90.
-
...i wanna get me something else...i really like those A* citys...like the styling..and the 16 inch wheels...

Once the front panel is remove.
remove the rubber cap of the headlight(behind)
Note: the buld has a clip before you can remoe it, you may use a small mirror to see how you can unclip it
that is where you will use your magic figer and to figure it out to loosen the clip.

Thanks! ;)

they're owner's manuals aren't they?
-
Not sure... I never read them
-
You can also go in underneath to get to the bulbs... you have a tight fit either way though.
