Title: HD motorcycle lighting....sort of
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on November 05, 2015, 12:51:25 PM: Passed a Harley Davidson rider on a dark boulevard this sunrise ride today....actually he went blowing by me weaving in and out of traffic....
Once again I was left impressed by the lack of stock rear lighting on some of these HDs!
From the back....all I could see was a tiny red light. Actually his license plate light was giving off most of the light back there.
I know..... some Harley rear ends are lit up like a German Christmas village...good for them! ...but then there are riders like my friend this morning.
I guess the high speed weaving through traffic IS the best way to prevent a car catching up with your HD. Sound procedure then.

Yes, I removed them after trying an LED in the front of my LIKE200i....put in the reg. amber bulbs and they sure looked brighter. LED use less power from your scoot's electrical system....but do not seem brighter. Perhaps that is why the new scoots with LED lights use a bunch of them in the housing - rather than like a single stock bulb?
