Is the kymco super 9 engine a clone of the gy6 engine ?
-
No. Honda dio clone, if I'm not mistaken. No where near gy6, except the variator

But don't necessarily use one. After tuning the engine the regular gy6 variator will fall apart

The reason I ask is I was looken at a stretch kit for a Honda ruckus and they have the gy6 engine I was curious if the super 9 has the same engine mounts

If your going to build a custom stretched 9, why not make a custom stretched bracket? It's going to be so much less $ then buying a kit. Some tubing and plate and a welder is just about all you need ;)

Could you explain a little more I've never done a stretch to anything

There's a bracket that mounts your drive train to your frame. Depending on design, there is usually a long bolt that mounts te 2 together. Some bikes may vary. You simply buy another long mounting bold, and fabricate a bracket to go between the drive case and frame. The length of bracket determine the amount of stretch. You will have to relocate the rear shock so a bracket must be made there too.

Ok thank you that makes since
