Hope the driver gets fully prosecuted, and sued.

I agree.
But geez, people do some stupid things with a lady on the back!
My son took his girl friend on the back of his CB500X the other day. She has experience riding on the back of her Dad's HD, so knows what not to do.
She fussed a bit when he put his spare helmet, armored riding jacket and MC gloves on her.
Fingers crossed --- they came home 2 hrs later, OK.
She said he's a "good driver", he said he could hardly tell she was on the back, and "we took it easy".
Have seen youngsters absolutely ripping away from a stop with a girl on the back of their clip-ons bike....no gear of any kind.
Sad.

Too true. I think we've all seen riders like that. When I ride with a passenger I make sure they have a helmet, and proper shoes/boots, or no ride. I'm the one responsible for their safety. Last thing I want is to have to tell anyone's family that their son, or daughter was in a crash and not wearing the proper gear.

does anybody know if that idiot got any jail time? I would think a charge of attempted murder would be appropriate...

Good to know he got what he deserved, but it’s a shame the rider and his passenger won’t be fully compensated for his crime against them. This give me more motivation to get my helmet cam.

Keep in mind that they were also breaking the law though that doesn't justify his actions.

I think I heard in the original crash posted here that the MC rider didn’t have a license either, but yes, he also made an illegal pass. The real victim here is the passenger on the bike, who I believe got the worst of the crash.
She at least reserves the right to sue him -- the car driver -- and if he’s still in jail, and she wins in court, maybe liquidate any and everything he owns. Just a thought.
Regarding the other crash video, I wonder what the MC biker did to piss the other guy off? I heard something about cutting him off, but how bad could that be? The guy who ran over the MC rider also has a history of previous charges and bad behavior. Maybe he’ll have some actual jail time, or a revoked license.
