I want to take my clutch apart and clean/lube it, does anyone use a spring compressor on it? The service manual shows one but I cant seem to find it anywheres, one supplier said the dont make them anymore.

Nawww just step on both sides and use the correct large socket. The spring isn't strong enough to overcome your weight on it. Once the nut is off you can use your hands to slowly release tension. Use mslossi mrg grease for the clutch, regular stuff will turn to liquid from the heat.

The center screw is a bigger problem... It was very hard to move it. The spring is not to strong, you can hold it with your hand...

Impact and the right size socket and the nut is easy.

I seen one at the dealers and made my own, used a old disc brake to fit over the big nut,. on the other side I used a old bearing puller , to tighten it, a couple of straps on each side, weld it and it is done,. nice to have junk in the garage,.
