Hi I have a jug of SAE 80w-140w gear oil lying around and want to know if anyone knows if thats alright to use in my final drive in place of the SAE90?

I have used 80/140 valvaline full syn. in my scooter and found it works,  just has a wider range of temperature it can be used in,.

Thanks de dee thats exactly what I have, same brand and all. Time to fill er` up then  :)
