Title: Agility 50cc lights keep blowing
Post by: COFFTEA on July 31, 2015, 06:09:21 PM
Hi all.
My agility 50cc 2010 keeps blowing my sidelights both low and high beam and rear light(brake light is fine though)
Each time i put new lights in and put them on it is a few minutes then they blow again.
Does any one have any ideas what might be causing this i have changed the regulator rectifier behind headlight. I have looked for a bad ground but unsure exactly where i shud be looking.
Thanks everyone so much for any help given

Ok i few readings
Battery when bike off around 14v
Battery when bike running around 18v
When bike is running i tested the volts coming from the sidelights and they read 0.5v same for headlight aswell.

The lights stay on for a few minutes then pulsate and then they die down to a very faint red glow of the wire inside the bulb.

If i turn the bike of and leave it for 15 minutes the exact same thing happens when they turn on then die down again.

Many thanks

Anything over 14.5-15 & you will burn blubs & damage the battery. If the new regulator doesn't test ok there may be a bad connection or wire to it.
