Title: repaint/decals

well, im soon going to turn my blue super 9 into an orange super 9 but i would like to order oem decals for it. The decals on the sides that have the kymco logo that says super going through it with a 9 on the end which is very common for the 03-07 range, does it have any color in the backround? like blue so if i were to order one it wouldnt match, or is it clear in the backround?

and... not going for kymco orange i was thinking like an exotic bright orange.

If your side panels look that good still, you should trade me if you're just going to paint them! Mine are faded and got a scuff or two...

You can see that it's just the outline on top of the color, but the edges and around the letters may be blue. Maybe you could order the orange ones and it wouldn't match perfect but would be similar. Or black/gray would probably look awesome...
I actually have scratches that go through the decals. And the panels are faded less than the edges of the decals.

Kymco parts monster has the full IPC for the super 9 Ac and LC. It also has the msrp for each part. You can order dirrectly but shipping can be a little on the high side IMO. I looked up the part (a decal) and called the neatest kymco dealer and that was that. $5.56 IIRCC (strait msrp no mark-up) for the "super sport 9" side decal. Kymco parts monster wanted to sell me the special blue background decal at $17 plus around $11-12 shipping! It was here in 3 days.

Good to know. I need to get my glove box cover then do a full strip and repaint.

Panels arent too bad new. I wanna say it was like $300 for all new panels. I could be wrong as I only tenativly looks months ago.
