Title: Help
Post by: scooterdad2324 on June 13, 2015, 01:34:34 PM
I'm wanting to make my 2011 kymco agility 50 go faster than 34 mph. I have already cut into the cdi box. What else can I do to make it faster. I don't have any extra money to spend on it but I really need a little more speed. I use this scooter everyday for work and am tired of being shot the finger [emoji35]. Please help

look up variator restriction. Honestly, 34mph isn't bad. Go on a diet. Lost weight is like a horsepower increase.

You will need  to do 3 things. Cut cdi go up  a few sizes on your main jet I think its a 82 and most of all change the drive boss.you should be able to do 40 to 45 easy with all 3 things done, one wont work all 3 must be done to work, and also you may have to raise or lower the needle in the carb, But try the frist 3 frist.

Lighter rollers allow the engine to spin up to rpm faster. It's like your fat buddy just fell off the back of the bike.

They won't make the top RPM too high, just quicker to get there. Also the RED Malossi spring is part of that mod.
Do the first three that blue listed, and the rollers, and spring next, and you will get that 45 mph, and a bit quicker too.

Tell your fat buddy, I was joking.

I don't need a situation here at the house.

If you add subs, and an amp... Face the subs backwards. The scoot will be twice as fast.

Or like Blue... You can throw it off a cliff. I hear his did 120mph for a minute.

Is he one of those rare breed, responsible 15yo's or is he a regular egg headed twit of a 15 yo?

I only ask because those 3-4 hundred dollar China made QMB 139's are everywhere on Craigs list, and it is the same engine. A shipped Agility can double or triple the cost.

Will he go dirt biking? At 15, I would have killed a plastic scooter in a few days.

He's rare like me Lol. He really enjoys riding with me its just he doesn't like to ride on the back Lol. The other day I borrowed a scooter from a friend of mine and let my son drive mine and that's all it took. Now he wants me to find him one really bad. Because of money being an issue since I'm the only income I have explained to him that we may need to find one that is in need of some fixing so that way he can build and develop the proper appreciation and love for his scooter the way I have

Good for you!

I've noticed a trend in the past 3-4 years... All those crappy young parents that were raising monster children have begun to ween away.

Perhaps it is the example of the 19YO's that the new 15YO's are seeing but somehow the next young generation is improving dramatically. I guess there is hope after all.

Good luck finding a bike for your boy. You're a lucky fella to have a good kid.
